Doing More Good with Social Solutions, CyberGrants, and Apax!

August 3, 2021 | Stu Trevelyan

We’re excited to share a new development today: EveryAction is combining with Social Solutions and CyberGrants, in an epic transaction catalyzed by Apax! EveryAction clients will still work with all the same EveryAction people you love, on the EveryAction platform you love, but you will now also have access to Social Solutions’ best-in-class case management and effort-to-outcomes software, as well as CyberGrants’ full suite of Social Responsibility products including their best in class grant making and employee engagement software.

By bringing these three companies together, we are well positioned to match non-profits looking for more donations and volunteers, with the philanthropists, foundations, companies, and employees working with CyberGrants, who are looking for more opportunities to donate and volunteer. CyberGrants powered over $6 billion just last year in employee-matched contributions, foundation/corporate grants, and other donations; and facilitated over 50 million volunteer hours by employees. We’re also well positioned to provide actionable insights and analytics around fundraising and volunteering, and to provide data on program outcomes that will turbo-charge your asks to deliver better results.

We’re also excited to share more with you about Social Solutions’ Apricot, Penelope and ETO products, which provide non-profits with case management, participant connection, data insights, outcome analytics, and funder enablement solutions. Social Solutions was founded 20 years ago by social workers who saw the potential of technology to improve outcomes and help accelerate lasting social change in the communities they serve. More than 90,000 users have adopted the Social Solutions platform to improve their data by measuring and optimizing outcomes.

Apax is the perfect partner to help us collectively do good and do well, given their outstanding track record as a tech investor and their focus on impact. Co-founded by Sir Ronald Cohen, the impact investing pioneer, Apax is a leading global software investor with a longstanding commitment to impact. In 2006, Apax established the Apax Foundation to focus on grants and employee donations that enable social mobility in underserved communities; since its inception, it has contributed over $30M to these efforts. This experience, coupled with the Apax Tech team’s deep expertise in enterprise software, makes Apax an ideal partner, and will help us continue to invest in product innovation, and also continue to acquire companies that have best in class products that add real value to non-profits. We are particularly excited to work closely with Apax on developing standards for the social and environmental impacts of our combined company.

Our new company will have combined annual revenue of over $200 million and will be the second largest and fastest-growing social good software company in the world. This transaction is several times larger than any M&A in the history of the social good software sector. The combination of three great companies will maximize our collective impact, by bringing together world-class talent and products, and proving that companies can both do good and do well, at scale. We believe the resulting innovative products and the connectivity between donors and non-profits will help our clients reshape philanthropic giving, and we’re so excited to do that with you.

On a personal note, I am so grateful to the 18,000 amazing non-profits who have honored EveryAction by allowing us to support you and your missions! Thank you so much! I’m also grateful for the dedicated teams of all three companies who build and support the solutions that help our clients do good. And I am so excited to lead this combined new enterprise as its CEO, and to do more good with you!
